πŸ“ˆBuying & Selling

Meme Royale uses a bonding curve to provide instant liquidity for all coins. This means you can trade any coin at any time, without needing traditional market makers or liquidity providers.

TLDR:

  • Buy coins by "Pumping", sell by "Dumping"

  • Prices determined by a bonding curve

  • Minimum trade size: 0.001 SOL

  • Use slippage settings for price protection

Understanding the Bonding Curve

  • As more coins are bought (supply increases), the price goes up

  • As coins are sold (supply decreases), the price goes down

  • This relationship is determined by a mathematical formula (the bonding curve)

Buying (Pumping)

  2. Go to the "Pump" tab

  3. Enter the amount of SOL you wish to spend

  4. Review the estimated amount of coins you'll receive

  5. Click "Pump" and sign the transaction

Selling (Dumping)

  1. Navigate to the coin's page

  2. Go to the "Dump" tab

  3. Enter the amount of coins you want to sell (or use the percentage buttons)

  4. Review the estimated amount of SOL you'll receive

  5. Click "Dump" and sign the transaction

Important Trading Notes

  • Minimum trade size: 0.001 SOL

  • Slippage settings are available to protect against price changes during transaction confirmation

  • The price impact of your trade is shown before you confirm

  • Be aware of any active battles or post-battle periods, as these can affect trading taxes

The minimum trade size is ignored if you are selling your entire holdings of a coin. For example, to get rid of "dust".

When you can't trade

Memecoins in a battle

Is the coin you’re looking at in a battle? You can still buy and sell, but there are some additional things to be aware of before trading it.

There's a lot more to learn about battles. Read up on them here.

Rekt memecoins

If your memecoin was rekt in a battle, you will not longer be able to sell that memecoin as its liquidity was rugged. However, you can convert your losing coins into the coin of the winner and hold or sell those instead.

Graduated memecoins

If your memecoin succeeded in reaching the required market cap, it was launched and is now tradeable on the open market. Try trading it on Jupiter or Meteora – the link will be available on the memecoins page.
