Meme Royale Terminology
Pump: Buying a memecoin, increasing its price and market cap.
Dump: Selling a memecoin, decreasing its price and market cap.
Rekt: A coin that has lost a battle and can no longer be traded.
Graduation: When a coin reaches the required market cap and is listed on a major DEX.
Chicken Tax: A tax applied to sells during a battle to discourage abandoning your coin.
Dirty Dump Tax: A tax applied after a battle to prevent immediate large sells.
Last Stand: A period where a losing coin has a final chance to turn the battle around.
General Blockchain and Trading Terminology
Bonding Curve: A mathematical curve that determines the price of a token based on its supply.
Liquidity: In general terms, this means the ease with which an asset can be bought or sold without causing a significant change in its price. On Meme Royale and in the context of bonding curves it often refers to the amount of the quote coin (SOL) "in the curve" at a particular point in time.
Market Cap: The total value of a cryptocurrency, calculated by multiplying the circulating supply by the current price.
DEX: Decentralized Exchange, a type of cryptocurrency exchange that operates without a central authority.
Gas Fees: Small amounts of cryptocurrency required to perform a transaction on a blockchain.
Rent: Similar to Gas Fees, there is a cost associated with storing information on the blockchain.
Slippage: The difference between the expected price of a trade and the price at which the trade is executed.
Staking: Locking up cryptocurrency to support a blockchain network and/or earn rewards.
Wallet: A digital tool that allows users to store, send, and receive cryptocurrencies.
